NaaS is a cloud-based service model that offers on-demand network connectivity and management of network services. NaaS solutions enable organizations to launch custom routing protocols that include multicast services or anycast/incast protocols and sophisticated mechanisms, such as content-based routing and content-centric networking. NaaS enables enterprises to order, provision, and modify Wide Area Network (WAN) services, such as Ethernet connectivity and virtual private networks via web portals. It comprises third-party network services provided to customers who do not invest in building their own networking infrastructure.
