Protective films are removable, self-adhesive webs containing a carrier material with built-in or built-on self-adhesive properties. Protective films protect the surfaces by adhering to it and forming a mechanical supplement layer. However, this property of the protective films is time limited, and hence the bond needs to be removable separating the protective film and the protected surface.
