Plus, the software is designed to categorize objectives and tasks into quarterly and yearly targets, so we can easily track the progress of the team and adjust our strategy accordingly. The tracking earned hours feature is another great tool, as it helps us keep an eye on the total hours for completed tasks, allowing us to pinpoint potential bottleneck areas. As a business unit head of a massive conglomerate, I need an integrated tool that can facilitate long-term planning and help me achieve our strategic objectives. Sadly, KOAN fails to meet my expectations in this regard. The software is incredibly Limited in terms of its interoperability and integration. It seems inadequate to even handle the most basic requirements of a large organisation. Moreover, there is virtually no support for futuristic use cases - a vital element of successful long-term planning. The user experience is also quite limited. Despite KOANs claims of being highly intuitive, users often experience difficulties when changing the software layout and creating customised layers. This makes the program significantly more difficult to use than other programs. Overall, I must rate this KOAN software as Objectives and KEY Results (OKR) quite poorly. I must reluctantly give it a rating of 1/10.

I have to say that the product vision, features, user interface and support, all disappoint me and does not meet my standards. Further, the support is far from satisfactory, with long response times and incomplete solutions provided which makes it difficult to make use of the software in an efficient manner. It seems that the software is not designed to easily integrate with other tools. Although Koan claims to be intuitive, users are often encounter difficulty when it comes to changing the layout, customizing different layers, and the like. Recently, I tried Koan, an OKR software and I am really impressed by the user-friendly interface and excellent customer service. Setting up Objectives and Key Results was incredibly easy. Koan provides helpful hints and a FAQ page which made this incredibly simple. After our team got up and running, it was clear that everyone had picked up on the concept quickly. The progress tracking, deadlines and tracking of who is actively working on goals all work really well. I was also really pleased with their customer service. Whenever I had a question or technical issue, the team was quick to respond. They provided clear and helpful advice and I was able to solve the issues in no time. To start, I am not enthused or impressed with their product vision which falls short of my expectations. Many comparable products on the market today offer better features and ease-of-use even with their most basic plans. The features that KOAN does offer are downright confusing and seem to require an advanced knowledge of the platform in order to use. The user interface just isnt as intuitive and user-friendly as some of their competitors. The support that KOAN provides is also lackluster. The response times are slow and often incomplete. It really makes it difficult to use the platform in a timely fashion. Furthermore, the platform fails to support futuristic use cases of OKR tracking and deployment. The lack of customization and scalability really limits the softwares potential. Overall, KOANs OKR Software offering is below average. I would give them a rating of 2/10 based on my experience.

We were expecting to get great value for the cost, however, the pricing structure was too high for the services provided. Moreover, the implementation was not executed appropriately which created further costs. We had to outsource much of this work and the associated cost was minimal but noticeable.
