Theres no single-use license, and the software was designed to be entirely platform independent which makes it very valuable in terms of cost-effectiveness. The software appears to lack a clear vision of what it wants to achieve and fails to provide solutions to modern-day mining problems. Its not compatible with more advanced mining hardware and isnt able to integrate with other mining software. Furthermore, the software lacks modern analytic tools that could help extract meaningful insights from survey data. The software is only useful for the most basic of tasks in our line of work, which mades its usefulness very limited for our business. The second issue is the ease of use. Despite the fact that the software is easy enough to understand and use without highly specialized knowledge, it is still too clunky and slow. The user experience suffers significantly due to this, and I would rather not have to deal with the delays of using this software. Finally, the customer support leaves much to be desired. After having some issues during the implementation phase, I assumed that the customer support staff would be readily available. However, they werent and I was left having to figure things out on my own. This was a great source of frustration and I would have expected better service from Carlson Geology. Overall, I would rate Carlson Geologys mining software offerings at 2/5 for their average performance and lack of future planning capabilities.

I've had some great experiences with Carlson Geology in the past, so I thought I'd give their mining software a shot. All in all, it did not disappoint, though it could use a few modern improvements.
First off, the overall usability was very intuitive and straightforward. I particularly found their automated mapping and 3D modelling capabilities to be quite helpful for visual analysis and support. There were also lots of good features such as data integration, grade control and support for augmented intelligence. All of this came very handy in the monitoring of my operations.
However, I found that the lack of interoperability between the software and existing mine-management systems slightly hindered our vision for a futuristic use-case. The limited choices for external connectivity also hampered our efforts of creating one single system for easy data access and operation.
In conclusion, CGL's Mining Software is a commendable piece of software. Although there can be some scope of improvement in terms of interoperability between the software and existing systems, it still does a good job of taking care of our mining & operational needs.'

Review #4 Recently, I evaluated the Carlson Geology Mining software and sadly I was quite disappointed. While the product vision was good, the features are considerably outdated compared to other mining software. It also lacks any futuristic use cases which is a big problem for us. When I asked for further details on how their software could be used to automate or integrate with our existing systems and machinery, the answer I got was lacking. This software is simply not up to par with other options in the market. The lack of customization options and integration with our existing systems and machinery means that it would not serve our business needs well. The existing features are outdated and there is a clear need for this software to catch up with the changing trends in the sector. Overall, I give the Carlson Geology Mining software a 1 star rating. The product vision is good, but the features and futuristic use cases are lacking in comparison to many of the other options on the market.
