sales offices globally and cater to its Middle Eastern clients through its sales office in UAE. Clients can also
purchase Equinix cloud infrastructure using the company’s web portal.
The company invests a part of its annual revenues in R&D and is instrumental in opening many data
centers across the globe. The company develops cloud infrastructure solutions designed to target the
needs of customers by focusing on innovations, specifically related to IaaS, PaaS, and disaster recovery
solutions. The company has been aggressively deploying organic growth strategies to outpace its
competitors. For instance, in March 2017, Equinix launched its own Data Center Information Management
(DCIM), known an IBX SmartView. The solution proved beneficial to clients who use Equinix global data centers and need a medium to interconnect operations with ease. The solution also allowed customers to
manage their entire physical infrastructure using a simple user-friendly dashboard. Furthermore, in April
2016, Equinix also launched Equinix Data Hub that provided a single solution for cloud-integrated data
functionalities and colocation services. The solution is being widely accepted by customers across the
entire Middle Eastern countries. To establish itself in the cloud infrastructure services market, the
company has entered into collaborations with multinational companies with a presence in the Middle East,
such as SAP and Verizon. The partnership with Verizon was beneficial to increase the sale of Equinix
solutions. Verizon, having a presence in the Middle East, agreed to resell colocation and interconnection
services from Equinix. The partnership also added 29 new data centers to Equinix offerings. Equinix has a
large efficient partner ecosystem and its channel partners include Value Added Resellers (VARs), System
Integrators (SI), and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Resellers such as Rackspace US and Dimension
Data offer fully managed solutions, which also include development, deployment, maintenance, and billing.
The company caters to various industry verticals in the Middle East, such as BFSI, government, healthcare,
and media and entertainment.
