“Struggle during onboarding”

While the functions are great, our administrators struggled during onboarding. Perhaps this is just our unique problem with staff that are not as tech savvy, but it feels like Metis could create some helpful guides for integration and use, in layman''s terms. The cost was higher than some of the competitors we evaluated. Though the cost was higher, the functions were still overwhelmingly valuable.

“Modern Technology Built with the Customer in Mind”

The Metis Secure Command Center software was particularly useful for our company with its easy-to-use and comprehensive control and integration. The emergency communications and monitoring provided an intangible value of peace of mind and allowed greater overwatch remotely to our interests. The mobile functionality was definitely a plus, and that made access virtually possible from anywhere in the world.

“Needed perfect alert system”

We needed a system that could alert us to emergencies from anywhere. The instant communications Metis provided allowed us to stay alert 24/7 on all of our interests. Remote access allowed our teams around the globe to instantly access and communicate with each other, and the emergencies monitoring allowed us to operate more freely knowing that our interests are protected.

“Mobile Interface could be made more simple”

The platform is exceptionally easy to use as an administrator on a desktop; however, the mobile interface could be improved from an admin user experience. I am confident that these limitations will be improved over time.

“Cutting through the noise and generating conversation”

The SnapComms platform is simple to use and the messages hard to miss. In an organisation that deals with mountains of complex data and information, it is refreshing to reach our employees through a crisp and attention-grabbing format that gets read and generates real conversations

Unified Network Centric Emergency Mass Notification Systems Presence in Mass Notification Systems Solutions
Desktop Alert offers secure and scalable mass notification solutions to a diverse client base across the globe. Over the years, the company has remained firm on its business strategies to gain a stronghold in the mass notification and emergency management software business. The company is rapidly expanding its geographic reach with offices in the US, Dubai, UAE, and Belgium. In the countries where it does not have a direct presence, it relies on its channel partners for the effective delivery of its solutions and services to its customers. Though Desktop Alert provides customized mass notification solutions for enterprises across various industry verticals, the company’s major focus areas continue to be military where in, it serves all the four wings of the US military. Desktop Alert has a robust partner channel, which includes industry associations such as NFPA, NEMA, OASIS, and AFCEA; and reseller and technology partners such as FSPS, Widepoint, FCN, Inc., and FEMA. During the last year, Desktop Alert has undertaken positive strides in both organic and inorganic growth initiatives. Under the organic growth strategies, it launched a new version, 5.2 of its mass notification platform with significantly enhanced performance capabilities documented in the company’s newly issued patent which helps it in providing polling rates as low as 10 seconds with minimal bandwidth requirements. The company also launched a new multi hazard disaster impact service which will offer its customers realtime alerts and impact estimations during major disasters. As a part of its inorganic growth strategy, Desktop Alert acquired Metis Secure Solutions in November 2016 and partnered with the US Navy to deploy its mass notification tool for alerting and notifying alerts in case of emergencies and critical events in the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Despite these initiatives, the company still lags behind some of the leading vendors of this market and must gear up specifically in terms of organic growth strategies, such as innovation and new product launches.
