VitalSource eLearning Authoring Tools Review #4 I recently purchased the VitalSource Technologies eLearning Authoring Tools to supplement my learning needs. Im a tech-savvy buyer, so I was looking for something that had a good product vision that would futureproof my investment. I have to say, the authoring tools have exceeded my expectations. They have a great feature set thats easy to use, and I was able to quickly develop interactive and engaging eLearning modules. The template library was also quite helpful in polishing my presentations. However, one downside is that there is a limit to the custom content that can be created with the tools. I would rate them 7/10 great product vision and feature set, with a few minor downsides.

I was pleased with the product vision, which had a very futuristic outlook on how I could use the tool to supplement my learning needs. In fact, I was actually able to research and create a multimedia presentation for one of my classes in no time. The authoring tools have a lot of great features, like the ability to quickly create interactive and engaging eLearning modules, and the template library was a great help. I also liked that there was good support, but I found the limits on custom content capabilities a bit disappointing. Overall, I would give it a 7/10 rating the product vision is great, but could use some more capabilities to make it even better.

2. Interoperability and Integration Mechanisms Rating: 1/5 stars I find the interoperability and integration mechanisms of the eLearning Authoring Tools by VitalSource Technologies lacking. I had a lot of difficulty trying to integrate and implement my own content into the platform. Not only that, but the level of interoperability I get with the platform is quite poor. To top everything off, the customer support I received was average at best, not really helping with any further integrations within the platform. All in all, the integration experience was quite unpleasant, and I would not recommend this platform to anyone.
