The company is targeting startups that are focusing on AI, virtual reality, and internet-connected devices. The investment in these firms would allow Samsung to expand geographically. Additionally, the startups would be able to take advantage of the Samsung platform, thereby resulting in growth. Apart from that, to sustain in the competition with big giants, such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and IBM, the company launched its virtual assistance, Bixby. Besides, the company acquired AI Viv Labs in order to enhance its AI capabilities and offerings. Furthermore, it has expanded Bixby’s voice capabilities to provide language support for the US English in Korea and the US.
