Continuous manufacturing is the process in which pharmaceutical products are simultaneously processed through various manufacturing steps. The process involves the uninterrupted conversion of raw materials to the final product through continuous charge and discharge of the material. Continuous manufacturing, with its end-to-end process mechanism, addresses various challenges in pharmaceutical production. Moreover, as there is minimal/no requirement of transportation of intermediate products between various process steps or frequent quality checks, significant time and resources are saved through this approach, which ultimately improves production efficiency. This research report focus on continuous manufacturing technologies used in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry and their usage in other industries or sectors as well as consumables that are used has not been covered.
