2 Using 3D Systems 3D printing medical devices has been a great experience overall. The equipment has been very easy to use and the quality of the printed results have been excellent. The integration and interoperability of the system into our existing workflow has been incredibly simple as we are able to upload and exchange necessary files with ease. Weve had good success with creating point-of-care medical devices and surgical guides. We have experienced some issues with creating prosthetics as the cost to print can be a bit high and sometimes it takes awhile to complete the printing process. We rate the system as 4.5 stars out of 5 due to the cost of and time it takes to print the prosthetics, but overall we are very pleased with 3D Systems 3D printing medical devices.

I confess to being skeptical at first as 3D Systems had to leave a lot of ground to cover to make our product a success but they have once again gone above and beyond our service expectations. They have managed to make 3D printing realistic and accessible in order to support our futuristic use cases. Having spent the last month moving our product through the 3D printing process with their guidance, I am very impressed with their level of expertise. Their engineers were able to troubleshoot any issues that arose and their customer service was highly attentive. Despite the complicated nature of our product, the 3D printing process was smooth and the results were absolutely unbeatable. 3D Systems made it possible for us to create medical devices in a fraction of the time that now has the potential to revolutionise the healthcare industry. The set up process can be a little complicated, and it often takes me upwards of an hour just to get the device going. The technology is reliable, accurate, and best of all the multi-material printing, providing us producers the freedom to create different medical parts with ease. I can confidently say that the technology offered by 3D Systems has allowed us to produce medical parts quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the customer service provided by 3D Systems still have some room to improve. Although they provide educative programming, it still doesnt provide us enough materials to understand the use of the technology. Furthermore, the company doesnt respond to queries quickly. In spite of some of its issue, I recommend 3D Systems 3D printing technology to other medical industry veterans. The technology is easy to use and very effective, and the production of medical parts is efficient and safe.

However, my experience so far has been less than stellar. Starting with the product vision, I do have to say that the company have been too ambitious in their promises. While their end goal is commendable, the projected rate of achieving said goals is far-fetched, and often times not achieved. In terms of product features, the extensive range of customization options and design options can be praised for sure, however, my experience shows that much of the options are simply superfluous and too complicated for practical application. Needless to say, any orders of magnitude in customization are often lost when applied practically. The research component of the product has been unable to reach the heights once promised, and has proven to be an inability in delivering effective and efficient solutions. Ive tried to integrate the devices with other tools, but all attempts have been futile. It often feels like the device is not compatible with the technology of other vendors. I must say that I was quite impressed with what I saw. The device was easy to set up and the results I was able to produce were quite remarkable. The futuristic approach to medical technology that 3D SYSTEMS offers is simply unparalleled. I was able to create highly detailed medical device designs with ease, and in much less time than if I were to use more traditional methods. Additionally, the customer service team was always available to answer anyes and had some invaluable help to offer. That said, as much as Ive grown to appreciate 3D SYSTEMS 3D Printing Medical Devices, there are still some flaws Ive come across. Cost wise, the process of using such a device does seem to be quite expensive compared to more traditional methods. Furthermore, there have been a few hiccups with the machine every once in awhile that was quickly resolved, but still felt like an inconvenience nonetheless. In the end, I would say that 3D SYSTEMS 3D Printing Medical Devices are certainly worth investing in for those who are looking for a fast and reliable approach to medical device manufacturing. But for those who dont have the budget to spare, traditional methods may be a better option. Id rate this device 4/5 stars.
