Plasticizers are substances or a blend of substances that are introduced to polymer resins to increase certain characteristics like softness and flexibility. Non-phthalate plasticizers are esters based on acids other than phthalic anhydride, and which do not contain substantial impurities of phthalic anhydride. These plasticizers are mainly used in the manufacture of PVC products.
